The argument
that the student makes in this reading is very effective in my opinion. The introduction
that is used does a good job of drawing the reader in by contrasting how girls
look at skinny models and then look at themselves and think that they are fat. Then
she gives us some background information on the issue and considers the counter
argument that could be made. What I like the most about this essay is that she
proposed a solution on how to stop these negative images. I like this because
in most arguments I feel like not a lot of people actually give the reader an
action to take that can help with the problem that they are addressing. Lastly, she gives a lot of good supporting detail to back up her argument and make it more effective.
